Emma's story
Emma resides in the province of Iloilo. She is 57 years old and has one dependent. She and her husband earn their livelihood through fishing, a trade they have been engaged in for 13 years.
Currently, Emma is seeking a loan of PHP 70,000 through Kiva’s field partner, CEVI (a microfinance NGO in the Philippines). She will use the loan to purchase fishing nets and plywood for their boat.
Emma aspires to enhance their livelihood in the future, with the goal of achieving a better standard of living.
