A loan of $1,800 helps to acquire more livestock to strengthen his ranching in Cotahuasi.

Fernando Pablo

Fernando Pablo's story

Fernando lives in the deep ravines of Cotahuasi, one of the highest and most remote canyons in Peru.  He's a 35-year-old young man who has spent his life in ranching, work that represents the main support and the economic engine of many families in this Andean region.

Cotahuasi is known for its impressive geography, long roads, and challenging climate, in which distance and altitude require additional effort for daily work.  In this environment, Fernando devotedly cares for his cattle, work that combines perseverance, knowledge, and a deep connection to the land.

Wanting to improve his economy and ensure a more stable future, Fernando is requesting a loan to buy more cattle.  This investment will enable him to increase production and strengthen his ranching work, which is the basis of his family income.

Fernando's work reflects the perseverance of rural families who, despite problems with the territory, keep on boosting the development of their communities with effort and a vision for growth.
