Superbee

SuperBee is on a mission to reduce single-use plastics and promote environmentally friendly alternatives, while creating high social and environmental impact. Plastic pollution is a major global challenge, with 19–23 million tons leaking into aquatic ecosystems annually, threatening wildlife and human health through microplastic contamination. Plastic production relies on fossil fuels, significantly contributes to climate change, and carries a massive economic cost.

SuperBee is a woman-founded, certified B Corp in Thailand producing and selling innovative, eco-friendly alternatives to single-use plastics. While their beeswax wraps remain their flagship product, they offer a diverse range of sustainable household items, including loofah sponges, paperless towels, Hexawash, wool dryer balls, bamboo brushes, and toothpaste tabs.

Kiva’s loan will enable SuperBee to expand production of plastic alternative products, preventing an estimated 12,250 kg of plastic waste and tens of billions of microplastic particles from entering the environment. This marks SuperBee’s second loan through Kiva’s Social Enterprise program.
