Chantal

Chantal, a Congolese woman with a warm smile, fled political unrest in her home country in 2010. Landing in Uganda with four children in tow, she faced an uncertain future. But Chantal is a fighter. Determined to build a new life, she poured her heart (and her delicious recipes!) into a small restaurant.

For seven years, Chantal's restaurant has been a haven for locals, serving up traditional Congolese dishes. However, worn furniture and limited supplies have held her back from attracting even more customers.

With this loan, Chantal will stock up on fresh ingredients - like refreshing soft drinks - and will invest in new chairs and tables. With a brighter, more inviting space, she hopes to welcome new faces and see her business flourish.
