Umutkan's story
The wonderful Umutkan is 53 years old, married and has 3 children. Umutkan has a high school education. By character, she is purposeful and responsible. Umutkan is well versed in agricultural technology, and is able to spend money on it effieciently.
As a main source of income for her family, Umutkan has worked with livestock breeding and field crop cultivation for many years. Thanks to her persistent work, and the help of her husband, her farm currently has 1 cow, 5 horses and 14 sheep. She also has a plot of land of 1.2 hectares, on which she grows clover, and she rents 3.2 hectares of irrigated land, on which she grows barley.
With an aim to further develop her farm, Umutkan turned to the bank "Bai Tushum" for a loan in the amount of 100,000 som (KGS) to pay for the spring field work. She aims to increase her harvest of organic produce. The income from the loan helps Umutkan expand her business and improve her standard of living.
