A loan helped a member to sell vegetables and condiments at the market.

Groupe Serigne Babacar Sedhiou's story

This group of 5 women was created in December 2017. They live in the same neighbourhood and work in retail to improve their living conditions. They are dynamic and united. Madam Néné, who has her hand raised in the photo, is the representative of the group. She is married and the mother of 3 children, with 6 other children in her care. With her new loan, she intends to buy vegetables and condiments to sell at the city’s central market. She has a stand there and has good experience in this field. She was able to buy 2 fridges to expand her business. Once the profits are made, she will help her husband to take care of her children’s education and health.

In this group: Nene, Sadio, Sona, Rokhaya Fatma, Haby
