A loan helped me to hire 3-4 employees to assist with managing our company.

Rasheeah's story

I'm a girl with a big dream born and raised in Baltimore City around crime and hopelessness. But I've always known I had a bigger purpose in life, so it has been my life's mission to help people believe in themselves no matter where they come from. In 2007 I enrolled in Medix School West cosmetology program to pursue my career as a licensed hairstylist. In 2009, I was presented with an opportunity to take over a beauty supply company that service beauty salons/barbershops in the DMV. With this opportunity, I was able to identify the beauty business needs of my audience and build a business providing training, coaching, branding, and resources to those who needed business development. This came from my experience with vocational training and realizing we were never taught how to run the business but instead let the business run us. So when the economy crashed in 2008 I started to see a decline in sales and I began speaking with the stylist about what was happening with their business. I'm a lover of creativity and have a strong passion to see people flourish and thrive not just in business but life because I believe we were all put here for reason.
