Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Ganyana Busabala Group, Kampala's story

Ruth N. is 60 years old and is a very hard-working lady with a continuous drive to succeed. She is the mother of seven children, with several grandchildren to take care of. Ruth is from Busabala and has been a farmer for eight years, growing foodstuffs for sale as well as keeping animals and birds for milk and meat. She is quick to say that her past loans have enabled her to expand and excel in her business. She currently needs a loan to be able to buy fertilizers and more produce for resale since this season was not favorable for her.
