A loan of $10,000 helps to cover development and production cost of a new hotsauce flavor I am working on. This would be my first initiative to work with Global Farmers and I will be working with farmers in Bangladesh.

Sufia's story

I was born in Bangladesh and raised in Queens, New York. I fell in love with spices and experimental flavors a few years ago. In between working 40 hours a week at my full-time job in Fashion, I’d spend most of my spare time obsessing over spices, fresh ingredients and heat in my small kitchen in New York.

As a newbie in the culinary area, I started from scratch by watching online videos and trials and errors. With an ambition to create a nostalgic, palatable and true-to-nature flavor, I spent long days and nights sourcing fresh ingredients from local NJ farmers, creating new recipes and canning. After months of exploration with my new food processor, the magical moment came - I made the perfect unique blend, and Silly Chilly was born.

When Silly Chilly Hot Sauce began, I envisioned a company of integrity and social activism. Ethics have always been a crucial core value. I believe in building relationships and leading by example. We do what we do with enthusiasm, sometimes we’re a bit silly - we think outside of the box and creatively. Now, Silly Chilly is proud to be a local, ethical and independent company based in NJ who makes each bottle of hot sauce with loads of love.

This is just the beginning of our exciting journey. I’m excited to be sharing my favorite flavors with you and the world.

This loan is special because:

It helps a young female entrepreneur bring innovation to her hot sauce line and make a global impact.
