Lamoun's story

Lamoun is a 38-year-old farmer. She is living in the Chamkar Leu District in Kampong Cham Province. Her husband is a construction worker and he always uses his spare time to help her in her career. They have one child.

Currently they have a net profit of about USD 10.00 per day after working hard in this career for around 10 years now.

Lamoun is going to cultivate some cassava on her farmland. Due to the demand, while she doesn't have enough money, she is now requesting a Kiva loan via HKL to support in cassava planting.

This is the first loan cycle for her family with Kiva. This loan will help to improve her family's living conditions by increasing income.

In the future, she wants to have a decent house and to provide means for her children to study in as high a level as possible. She would like to say thanks to all lenders who always support and share their funds with all poor people in the world.

This loan is special because:

It supports the social and economic well being of low income families
