Uwe Macho Group's story
Lokeso is a shopkeeper and a member of the « Uwe macho » group. She is a 33 year old entrepreneur, married and the mother of three children all attending school. She sells palm oil in the market of the city. She began this business with funds from her husband, who is a civil servant working in the local government. She has been involved in this activity for the past four years. This loan will enable her to purchase 50 liters of palm oil, allowing her to increase her revenues, and educate, clothe and feed her children. She would like to profusely thank Herkima for enabling unbanked female entrepreneurs to become empowered, notably during this critical post-conflict context in the eastern part of the country.
