Francisco Enrique's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay his higher education expenses.

Francisco Enrique's story

Francisco is a student of computer systems engineering. He is requesting a loan in order to pay his educational expenses. This is his story: My name is Francisco. I am 23-years-old. I was born in Santo Domingo, República Dominicana. I am of Peruvian and Dominican-Spanish descent. I live with my parents and my brother in the city of Santo Domingo, where I have been living for 18 years.

I finished high school and after carefully considering the options, I decided to pursue university studies in Technology to prepare me for my career. In 2012, I began my studies at the Universidad Dominicana O&M, where I completed one year of computer systems engineering courses. For financial reasons, I had to discontinue my studies and begin working full-time. Over the last three years, we have faced many obstacles, which have prevented my brother and I from continuing our university studies. Some of these obstacles were family debts and my father's health.

I am seeking this support out of the need to grow and develop as a person, primarily in the labor market. I want to be able to finish my studies at a good university, such as the Universidad APEC in República Dominicana, and be able to work on some personal projects I have for the short, medium, and long term.

Some of my first goals to help finish my education are to pay for the education and reverse my family's financial situation. I will work on projects with high social impact through technology either by joining a renowned technology company, or through the management of some personal projects, focusing on programming and software development.

I consider myself to be a person of strong will. My inspirations to move forward are knowledge and understanding as well as personal projects to help those close to me.

Finally, I am grateful to this new international organization, Kiva, and to Fundapec, for having created this opportunity to support others in difficult circumstances.
