Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?

We're excited to see entrepreneurs that we've worked with or will work with have the opportunity to further their business with funding that might not have happened without a Kiva crowdfunded loan. We believe in the incredible work being done in Chattanooga and want to share that impact with others.

What is the mission of your organization?

The Company Lab (CO.LAB) is a nonprofit startup accelerator that supports entrepreneurial growth in southeast Tennessee. We work with companies ranging from street-corner mom and pop shops to tech startups scaling into major market

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

At CO.LAB, we’re fortunate to have partners who understand that community and entrepreneurial opportunity often go hand in hand. We offer programs year-round for entrepreneurs at every level of the startup development cycle. We would like to endorse borrowers that have already gone through with one of our programs. We would then work with each applicant as they go through the process and follow up with them during the life-cycle of their Kiva loan. We also have experts from a cross-section of local business who offer free startup advising in their respective areas of expertise and will provide these services as well. We're here to help our borrowers succeed!
