Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?

We want to impact more entrepreneurs in our market in an organic way in this digital world. Kiva helps us collapse the distance between the Earth and the Moon for the most deserving entrepreneurs that simply don't have access to capital in Triad region of North Carolina.

What is the mission of your organization?

To generate economic growth, encourage small business development, create jobs, and revitalize neighborhoods by providing loans and financial services to underserved businesses in our community.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

We will practice an abbreviated underwriting process which requires a review by our loan committee of organizational documents, tax and other financial reporting, cash flow, and projections with a vote of best out of five comprised of Banking, Accounting, and Legal professionals. These approvals will be based on character of the business, its sustainable viability and analyzed debit service coverage ratio. All applications submitted under endorsement have participated in continuous learning for entrepreneurs programs deployed through our technical assistance.
