Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?

Midwest Pantry has continually evolved over the 6 years we've been in existence. We respond to the needs of our food creator members, and based on what we are seeing in our community, as well as national trends, access to cash at the early stages of a startups life is very critical.

What is the mission of your organization?

Midwest Panty's mission is to unify an ecosystem of support to make Minnesota the #1 state to start and grow food businesses.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

We currently review all our members to ensure they are properly licensed, and insured. In adddition, before we would endorse a member to become a borrower, we would review their monthly sales for the past 6-12 months, their wholesale pricing, and ensure that they are a member in good standing of our food creator community. If we find any concerns with the member, we would require them to successfully complete our education series to ensure they have a thorough understanding of the food business in which we work.
