United Virginia Education Fund provides resources for micro-enterprise development, micro-lending and development of the social enterprise sector for the “Common Good for the Commonwealth.”

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

United Virginia is active in a supportive micro-enterprise development ecosystem that among other resources provides training for aspiring entrepreneurs to become successful business owners, particularly social enterprises. Borrowers we endorse will have a significant track record of training program involvement, and United Virginia staff will visit their business, verify their financial records, and ensure they have adequate cash flow to repay their loan.
