Why are you interested in becoming a Trustee?

We have 12-15 students graduating from the JH Start Up Institute every June that are ready to jump into their CEO shoes and launch their businesses. I believe Kiva Zip is a great resource for them to get started.

What is the mission of your organization?

To educate entrepreneurs and teach them the building blocks of starting a business successfully.

Borrower Due Diligence

How will you decide who to endorse as a borrower? What due diligence will you conduct?

The people we refer will be a participant in or have completed an intensive entrepreneurial training program called the JH Start Up Intensive. We will have worked with them for over 200 hours in the classroom and we will know them extremely well, both personally and professionally. Our program runs April - June and October - December every year. Participants need to get accepted into the program then spend three days a week in a classroom setting for 10 weeks. Program size is small - 12-15 students - so we know each very well.
