Kiva Lending Team: In Memory of Richard Mascuch
We loan because...
Lt. Richard Mascuch bettered humanity across all borders through his generosity, kindness, and legacy.
Richard Mascuch (February 8, 1920 - July 31, 2010) served in the U.S. Army from 1941 until 1945 as a paratrooper with the 551st Parachute Infantry, which served in Panama, North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France and Belgium. He received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart with an Oak Leaf Cluster. His military accomplishments were nothing compared to his effort to better humanity by helping the less privileged in many ways including initiatives for cleft palate surgery in the developing world.
