About me:
Sean Howell, former Wall St-er and and tech entrepreneur. After living in Tanzania, I continue to be involved with a number of East African non-profits and support a registered non-governmental organization, the Community Development and Relief Agency (www.CODRA.org). CODRA works on protecting the environment, health, education, micro-credits, and good governance. I have been a fellow of the World Affairs Council (www.world-affairs.org) and currently serve as a trustee of their board. At the Council I am also President of the Young Professionals International Network. I am a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University. My personal interests include socially responsible investments, international development, independent publishing (I am on the editorial board of some magazines) outdoor recreation, and the arts—I've served as an Arts Commissioner for the city of Seattle. I am the co-founder of Friends of Seattle (www.friendsofseattle.org). When not trying to effect change, I enjoy playing Scrabble at Vivace café on Capitol Hill.
