I loan because:: I am blessed to still be here and my passion is to help others in their journey. As a three time breast cancer and brain surgery survivor, I recognize that each day spent on this earth is a gift and I want to make a difference in the lives of others.
About me:: I am the founder of three, multifaceted businesses in the last few years all under the name of The PM Companies, which targets both Orange and Los Angeles County areas. They include Balanced Sole Reflexology (www.BalancedSoleReflexology.com), Pattie’s Pet Care and House Sitting (www.PattiesPetCareAndHouseSitting.com) and an online travel site, A1 Travel and Fun (www.A1TravelAndFun.com). As a result of my health issues and experiences, I am especially passionate about health care and women’s issues. I strive to educate my clients of the importance of health, stressing relaxation, sleeping better, eating healthy, exercising and learning how to be in tuned to one’s body and what it is telling you. Knowing that reflexology can make a difference in the well being of one’s life, some of the ways I give back is by being a volunteer in the community. I perform reflexology for women at an abuse shelter, chemotherapy patients and hospice patients allowing them to relax with reflexology and a tender touch. I also volunteer at the Compton Work Day project, Relay for Life events and am currently working on getting clearance to perform reflexology on firefighters during wild land fire fighting emergencies. In addition, I give educational talks at a variety of forums to help others learn the importance of taking care of oneself. My love of animals has drawn me to care for pets while the owners are on vacation or business trips. My pet care and house sitting business allows owners to feel safe while out of town and enjoy their time away knowing that I'm taking care of their precious pets. I give them undivided attention and often go beyond the call of duty simply because I love animals and treat them as I would my own. Owners have expressed amazement when meeting me since their pets go to me without hesitation unlike other strangers. A true testament of my natural love of animals. A1 Travel And Fun is an online - one stop center for all of your travel, entertainment or specialty needs. Most anything you can do on line is now available at one site. Whether that be travel, dinner, theater, racing, concerts, shopping, etc. I have gone through personal health issues that would make some want to give up on life. My battle with cancer on three separate occasions made me stronger and has motivated me to share my life story with others in order to give them hope. My struggles after brain surgery changed my life course because it limited me in ways where I could no longer function as before, but I refuse to allow it to define me. Instead, I take these adversities and newfound skills into the community to help others lives each day hoping to make a difference. I want my actions to make a meaningful imprint on the future of my community and local businesses. My intent is to set a good example to others and inspire many by sharing my life story and my desire to make a difference.
