I loan because:
Having worked, studied, and traveled in many countries in Asia, I've experienced first-hand how terrible poverty is to the unfortunate many who are afflicted by this crime. I hope that as programs such as Kiva grow in popularity, those of us who have been blessed by having been born into affluent societies will be able to more effectively help alleviate the suffering of those in developing countries.
