About me:
I am earning a PhD in Social Work. My research areas include interprofessional education, peer mentoring, and a plethora of LGBTQ+ issues. I grew up in a military family, which allowed me to live and travel internationally. I think my childhood experiences provided a global perspective and appreciation for diversity of cultures as well as empathy for the struggles of my fellow human beings within corrupt and unfair systems. Regardless of a busy schedule, Kiva makes civic engagement easy while maintaining a level of personal connection.
