I loan because:
i think one of the most important things to develop a developing Country is a growing economy, and by this in a later episode an good working welfare-system. With micro lendings it's possible for me to lend money direct to a person/group of persons, witch want to get a higher standard of living and a blooming economy. I think it's also a good thing, only to lend money and not to donate it, because in this constellation you have to work for your money/future. This is how development assistance really works!
