- I worked as a commercial lender for major banks funding extravagant corporate borrowers and their owners whims. I have spent many decades doing non profit work. The former paid well but was unfulfilling. The latter has been more fulfilling. Making Kiva loans always warms my heart.

- Growing up on a farm in Appalachia, I know poverty. I studied hard, was fortunate to receive a college scholarship and hope my small loans allow others to live more fulfilling lives. I am a proud member of both the LGBT and Athiest Kiva teams.
