I loan because:
I realize that I am privileged as a white male from the United States coming from a middle-upper class background, and that every human from any background has the same basic requirements (food, shelter, clean water, access to health care and education, etc.), and as such, those of us who come from a privileged background have a moral responsibility to show solidarity with their fellow human beings who don't have access to those basic human requirements.
About me:
I'm a student at Pacific Lutheran University. I am double-majoring in Hispanic Studies and Environmental Studies. After college, I hope to work abroad for a few years, perhaps interning on a permaculture farm in Mexico or somewhere in Latin America, working for the Peace Corps, working for an NGO or Non-Profit organization internationally, and/or going to graduate school.
