I loan because:
Kiva has developed a more efficient and effective way to donate to those in need in developing nations. I believe that it's often better to improve the world with a bottom-up rather than a top-down approach. I also greatly appreciate the fact that I'm not just donating money to people to meet their immediate daily needs of food, clothing, shelter, medicine, etc. that they require just to get by; instead, I'm helping them develop a means of personal and economic development that will sustain their well-being for the long-term.
