I like the idea of loaning money that is paid back to develop economic independence rather than giving money and developing dependence. I have traveled in Mexico, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East and have seen how much thought and effort people are willing to put into developing their livelihoods under challenging conditions and how much more can be done if the opportunity is there.
