I loan because:
I'm interested in supporting the working poor because of the strength of character exhibited in those who are willing to try to lift themselves out of a bad situation as best they can. Their effort inspires me and gives me hope for our future.
About me:
I live in Sacramento, California and love my job of teaching English composition and poetry at local colleges. I also teach international students at the UC Davis International School as well as other UC Davis students. I do much of this work via my community college employer. I love to travel. I've been to South Africa, Cuba, Russia, Czech Republic, and Thailand in recent years. I write poetry and have been published in many journals. My ambition is to have a full collection of poetry published in a book within a year or two.
