I loan because:
I am happy to help people who are willing to work, and help themselves. I'm disheartened by the seemingly overwhelming numbers of internet scammers from certain Asian countries. I loan to help as a reminder that dishonest people are only a small fraction of the population of these countries, and the honest people who are willing to work will make good use of a modest amount of help. Please don't assume any connection to the people we lend money to via Kiva, with the scammers reported on our site. The loans we make, and success rate in repayment demonstrate it's possible to make a living, honestly, even in difficult times and locations. Thank you, and good luck to all Kiva participants! You can help change the world, with loans...not handouts!
