I maintain 4 key areas of concern about Kiva: 1] its absurdly excessive executive compensation, 2] the fees charged to Kiva Partners and ultimately borrowers, 3] the creation of for profit Kiva Capital while simultaneously soliciting funds from lenders who desire and expect no such financial return, and 4] that U.S. borrowers pay no interest inevitably requires in effect a subsidy from worldwide borrowers.
