I've lived and worked in a third-world country so I have first-hand experience with poverty and what the rate of exchange can mean for people. Living in the U.S., a country that is so rich, with so many amenities it's taken for granted, I like the idea of helping someone I've never met, someone I don't even know, make a better life for themselves.
