Susana Patricia's story

Mrs. Susana Patricia is a member of the “Manos Unidas” community bank. She lives in the Jr. San Pablo de la C. in the Tarapoto district in the department of San Martín. She is 38, married, and has 3 children who are all dependent upon her. She started her own business of printed fabrics with 500 PEN and encouragement from her husband. She continues with this business which is located in the center of the city in a special place to show her products. With a loan for 2,200 PEN, which she will pay back in 6 months, she will buy more products like embroidered flags, banners, ribbons, interlaced decorative designs, and dozens of bright laces in different colors. She would also buy fabric and paint for making her printed fabrics. She and her husband make the decisions about the earnings from her business. Personally, she is an independent woman, more secure and responsible about making her payments. Susana Patricia would like to thank Manuela Ramos for letting her grow as an entrepreneur and as a woman.
