A loan helped to buy wholesale calcium to strengthen her plants.

Tania Lorena's story

Tania is nineteen years old. She is single and lives with her parents and her two siblings, Alejandra, who is sixteen, and Johan, who is nine. Her brother and sister attend a public school.

Tania is very cheerful and strong. She knows a lot about agriculture because ever since she was little she would go with her father, who is a laborer, to work the land. That is how she learned to enjoy growing potatoes, and she has been doing so for the past three years. Her work has become another source of income for the family.

Tania will use this money to buy wholesale calcium. This will increase production and reduce costs, which will allow her to generate a better income to continue to help support her humble family.
