This loan group, Manos Juntas (Hands Together) Rumichaca Alta, has 14 active members most of whom were born in the District of Rumichaca, which is situated about 15 minutes from Urubamba Province in the Department of Cusco.
These members are in their first stage with this communal bank. Their activities incluD. agriculture and livestock in addition to their usual domestic chores, and for most of them these activities have been passed down from generation to generation. They are requesting this loan so as to be able to buy their supplies for agriculture (seeds, corn, barley) and animal husbandry (young guinea pigs, poultry, cattle) and raw materials for those engaged in hand crafts (clay, machinery and such).
