A loan of $650 helped purchase materials for her embroidery.

Liliana's story

Liliana is 23 years old. She lives with her husband and two children in a rented home. For two years, she has been dedicated to embroidering "fustanes" (skirts worn for special occasions in her culture). Her mother was the person who taught every technique and detail of embroidery, which now helps her maintain her business and gradually stand out as one of the best producers of embroidery by hand. She works independently in her home every day, preferably in the afternoons since in the morning she is busy with housework. Her orders grow during festival months May and June. She's in constant demand for the rest of the year. Liliana has planned to improve her own working conditions in order to continue producing her beautiful embroidery in a shop that has everything necessary. This the second time getting a loan with MFP and she is very eager to move ahead with her community bank. She is working so that her group stays united. The amount that she is requesting will be invested in the purchase of basic materials for her embriodery. She will buy thread in different colors.
