A loan of $325 helped increase merchandise.

Ermelinda's story

Ermelinda is 51 years old. She lives with her 18 year old son in their house. Every day she walks the main streets of her city in order to sell a variety of items for personal use such as intimate apparel, shoe laces, cosmetics, hooks, among other items. This activity is very gratifying because it allows her to meet new people and give them a vote of confidence as she visits her customers in their own homes and later collects payments from them. Due to the long walks that Ermelinda takes, she becomes very tired; nevertheless, her earnings are compensation for this. She wants to continue to grow her business. One of her plans is to open a bazaar in a central location in her city, publicizing her establishment to her customers. This is the second time that Ermelinda has asked for a loan from MFP. She is very happy about working in a communal bank because it allows her to be in contact with her group, who are trustworthy people. This money will be used to buy more merchandise; this school year she would like to buy uniforms and accessories for school.
