In the picture, we have the relatively young cooperative bank “MUJERES HACIA EL FUTURO MEJOR” (“Women For a Better Future”). They have been involved with Manuela Ramos for less than one year. The majority of the members live in the Jorge Velázquez Portocarrero settlement. Their president, Mrs. Lidia P. Pérez, is 28 years old. She sells food in the evenings, and her husband works in construction.

There are a total of 17 members who have great confidence in each other. The group is united, they are very happy, and they take their commitments seriously and are optimistic about their businesses. With this loan of 6450.00 Peruvian soles they will be able to invest in their enterprises. They would like to buy items such as food, groceries, beauty supplies, clothing, and shoes.

The settlement they live in is young and growing quickly, a fact that allows them to envision a promising future for their families and businesses. Some of the members are new, and they were seen to be content while being sworn in with their president at the head. They commented among themselves that they were pleased with the Manuela Ramos anthem. Its words maD. them reflect and gave them motivation to forge ahead.

The loans complement the assistance they receive, without complicated procedures or requirements, such as those designated by a bank. For all this, and all the other assistance, they give thanks to this ONG and they feel committed to be timely and responsible with their obligations, as they want to be an example to the other groups.
