A loan of $975 helped to purchase various products (groceries). To purchase wood for the maintenance of her locale.

Luz María's story

Luz Maria F. P., belongs to the Communal Bank “Manos Unidas” (“United Hands”). Her business is located in the market in the district of Calleria. She is 47 years old, and has 3 children (2 are underage). Her husband is the co-administrator of the business.

Luz’ business is located in her neighborhood’s market; the first loan that she received from Manuela Ramos was of 300 PEN, which she invested in the purchase of groceries to supply her small stand. She has been working with Manuela Ramos for 6 years, and her business has been growing which is why she has had to increase the amount of her loans.

As time has passed it has become necessary to increase the security of her locale, given that it is of wood and requires changing and refurbishing some of the walls.
With this loan of 3,000 PEN she will be able to invest 1,000 PEN in the purchase of wood for her local, and the rest will be used to purchase groceries to stock her store.

Luz thanks Manuela Ramos, for being an institution that serves the community with the service that it provides and contributes to the women of this region.
