Zainab M.akram Group's story

Zainab baj is a citizen of a city named Riwind, in Pakistan. She is thirty-six years old and married. She has been living in this city for the last fourteen years. Her husband's name is M., and he is a driver of a rented auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle). The owner gives him very little income even though the owner knows that her husband works really hard. Zainab baji decided to apply for a loan to buy an auto-rickshaw for her husband so that he can get the entire amount of income from his work.

Zainab baj is the group leader of four other women from her locality. Qubra baji wants a loan to buy artificial jewelry to sell. Nawab baji wants a loan to buy thread to sell. Suraiya baji and Bashiran baji each want a loan to buy seasonal vegetables to sell.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee the others' loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
