The Alpachaca community bank is starting its fourth loan cycle with 16 members, all of whom are from the community of Alpachaca in the district of Chiara, Peru, which is located three hours from the city of Ayacucho. The population makes a living in agriculture and livestock. The members carry out different businesses, such as selling animals, general groceries and fruits. Many members make a living in agriculture and raising cattle, producing cheeses and milk.

The members need different amounts from the loan, such as 200 soles, 450 soles and 600 soles, for a grand total of 8,000 soles for the community bank. The loans will be invested in the purchase of items like rice, sugar, cheeses, fertilizer, medicines and animals for their businesses. The dreams of the members are to improve their businesses, have more livestock, increase their production and for their children to become successful.
