Carmen's story

Carmen P. R. belongs to the "Amigas por Siempre" (Friends Forever) Community Bank. She lives in Av. Arborización Mz 2 Lt 9, in the Yarinacocha district in the city of Pucallpa. She is 57 years old, has ten children and her husband is dedicated to the wood business.

She began in the cosmetics and perfumes business and selling through catalogs. With the first loan of 300 soles, she bought a small display case so she'd be able to show her products. She can rely on customers and her business has been growing. Also, she is entering in some ways into the wood business alongside her family.

Today, she has progressed with her family and the wood business has improved.

With this loan of 1,800 soles, she will invest in the purchase of perfumes, cosmetics and new products and she is investing some 900 soles, along with her family, in the purchase of wood
