Solomon's story

Solomon B. is 55 years old. He is married to two different wives who have given birth to thirteen children. According to him, some of his kids are in school; senior high, junior high and basic schools. Others are into apprenticeships.

His wives are into trading. He is a farmer and a trader. Solomon lives with his children and wives in a family house in Mampong, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

Solomon trades in food stuffs such as maize and palm nuts. He also sells fruits such as oranges, banana, etc. Solomon buys some of his goods from wholesalers in the community and others from farmers in nearby villages. He sells at the local market to food vendors. Solomon also distributes to retailers.

He has been in business for ten years and wants a loan to procure food stuffs in bulk to be able to supply to more customers. Solomon hopes to sponsor his children in school to higher levels.
