Eleoteria Asuncion,'s story

Eleoteria generally works in the kitchen. Monday through Friday she prepares lunch for those who work near her home. Her business's special feature is that she doesn't only make the food, but she also takes it to her customers' work sites, gaining their loyalty, and additional customers. On the weekends, she cooks and sells tamales to her neighbors for breakfast. Because her husband lost his job, right now she also works cleaning private homes in order to pay for the household expenses and to support her 4 minor children, ages 14, 12, 3 and 1. In the future she hopes to open a store in her home, or at the local market.
