Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Dora Eloisa's story

Mrs. Dora Eloisa U. Solís is 52 years old. She makes a living by selling general merchandise. She is an ambulatory salesperson. She started her business about 15 years ago because she needed to contribute money to support her family. Right now she is very proud of her humble job. Doña Dora's objective is to keep her current clients happy and coming back because without them her business would have never grown to what it is now. The financing that she is asking for will be invested in her business. She will purchase clothing, shoes, towels, perfumes, creams, and sun screen for the summer months. Doña Dora's dream is to always have her business and to please her customers with different products. She is requesting a loan of $850.
