A loan helped to buy cloth.

Otobe's story

K. Otobe is a woman who is cook by training. Not finding a job after her training, and on the advice of her mom who was a retailer of pagnes, she got started in the commerce of pagnes (colorful West African cloth). At first, she used to buy merchandise on credit and paid her suppliers after selling the goods. She earned enough profit and began buying directly without credit.

Wanting furthermore to expand her stock of merchandise, she's requesting a loan from WAGES for buying: 20 boubou pagnes, 15 Guinea pagnes, and 10 plain pagnes. Being divorced, the money she earns from her commerce is what she uses to provide for her child.
