A loan of $200 helped a member buy more clothes to sell.

Wema Group's story

Veronica has been a clothes (Vitenge) seller in the Nzovwe neighborhood of Mbeya for four years. She currently earns an average monthly profit of $350. Each day she works at her business for 10 hours.

She is requesting her first loan from BRAC Tanzania so she can buy more clothes to sell. She is hoping that through this loan, her profit will increase and she will be able to grow her business.

Veronica is married, and has five children: ages 25, 22, 18, 16 and 3. She will be sharing this loan with her fellow group member, Lucy, who also has her own small business in Mbeya.
