A loan helped a member to buy embroidery raw materials of her own so she can directly sell embroidered dresses.

Abida's Group's story

Abida is a 52-year-old married woman. She has been knitting embroidery by hand at home for many years to support her family. In fact, her husband remains sick most of the time and unable to work.

For the sake of her children, and to meet household expenses, Abida started an embroidery business at home. A supplier comes to her home and provides her all the raw materials for knitting embroidery. She completes her tasks with her daughter over a wooden frame.

She wants to sell knitted embroidery directly in the market so that she can earn more profits for her family. She has become an expert in her art and wants to buy raw material of her own so that she can sell her handmade embroidery in her hometown. Therefore, she requested a loan to buy raw material so she can knit more embroidery dresses to sell and generate maximum income.

She is a mother of four sons and a daughter. She hopes to get a boost in her earnings through her large sales. She wishes to utilize a portion of the revenue to provide a quality education for her children.
