Vida's story

Vida A. is sixty years old. She is a married mother of six children. All of her children are out of school and living independently. She lives with her husband and some grandchildren in a family house in Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Her husband is a farmer. Vida works to make some income to support him financially.

Vida trades in foodstuffs such as plantain, cassava, etc., and fruits such as oranges. She procures the goods from the farmers in the nearby villages at cost-effective prices. Vida supplies the products to retailers and food vendors in her community. She has been in business for six years.

Vida wants a loan to procure goods in bulk to maximize her profit margin. She aspires to improve upon her living standard.
