Grace's story

Grace G. is 40 years old and is married to a soldier. She has four children that go to school. Grace currently sells food at a hotel and is requesting a loan to buy more plates, cups, tables, chairs, etc. to use there. She hopes to be able to build a big hotel and lodge with the extra profits she earns from taking this loan.

Kiva partner BRAC started operations in Southern Sudan in 2007. The microfinance program, which is targeted to returning war refugees, has already formed 418 village organizations with more than 14,000 women members.
