A medium-sized stone house in Phnom Penh is the location of Mr. Duk S.'s home and grocery store. He usually buys produce in bulk from a marker supplier and sells it from his house. Normally, he can make average income of $6.00 per day. He has been running his business since early 2008.

His wife, SamArt, age 45, helps him with the business. She also sells a few vegetables in the market. The couple now has six children, four of whom still live with them in the family home.

Mr. S.'s investment is main source of income for the family and he recently sold all of the produce in his store. Therefore, he would like to ask for a loan to buy more groceries to sell.
